WEEK 56

Hey everyone!

This has been a good week! 

But we are contacting in this area and it's pretty tough we don't get a lot of response so we spend hours trying to find people to teach so that would be the tough part but other than that it was good!

I was able to interview people for baptism so they were pretty great. I moved on date cuz she needed time to prepare more but the one I had yesterday , he is super prepared! He had a testimony of everything I asked him. they will both be baptized this week.

Ann is getting baptized this week as well on Saturday. She is well prepared and excited about the Gospel. She knows everything to be true! She comes from a Hindu background so that's a great change to convert over. I'm grateful I've been able to work with her! I always wondered why i came back to Couva and I know it's cuz of Ann. My comp and I got to start teaching her again when I came back so I know our Heavenly Father has put things into place. so I'm excited for this week.!

other than that not a whole lot happened.

WEEK 55

Easter!

hey everyone!!

This week was pretty good!!

Not a whole lot happened, but this week was zone conference so all Trinidad missionaries got together to learn from everyone pretty much. We talked a lot about gathering and scattering of Israel. Pres. Egbert taught us about that.  Wow it's pretty interesting learning about that. All about the covenant our Heavenly father made with Abraham and how this time now we are gathering the lost 10 tribes. So it's pretty interesting to learn about that. Our heavenly father wants all of us back to him so we are all helping to make that happen.

Sister Ann is still good for the 29th of this month. I always wondered  why I came back to Couva but I know why I did now, It's cause of Ann, she was a former investigator but when I came back to Couva we picked her back up the second day I was here and now she is being baptized soon. She has made those great changes in her life. She said she knows the church to be true, book of mormon to be true, and gaining a great testimony. So I am grateful to be able to be back here and to be helping her so I can't wait for that.

Also we had a district activity so me being district leader I had to plan that out. so yesterday we dyed eggs. It was really fun!! and then we played basketball so it was a great activity! I have some pics don't worry mom haha.

But that's pretty much all this weeek.

And those prom suits (Creds to Tanner and Scotty) are pretty sick hahah I can't believe they are graduating!! man I am old...

And I was thinking about last year. The glow in the dark thing was so much fun!!!!!! I can't wait till next time hahah

WEEK 54

Hey Everyone!

This was a good week, not much happened that was too exciting just really the normal stuff. Finding, teaching, helping people! This week was HOT tho! Elder Plumb and I decided to get bikes (to save gas and kilometers) so we were biking a lot haha and it's a pretty good exercise. I'm working on my tan as well biking in the sun haha but its been pretty fun. You are able to find a lot more people doing it that way cuz you can stop and talk to everyone you come in contact with.

Also the highlight of the week was with Ann!! We have been having really great lessons with her so we have been thinking of a date for her. So we just taught about the atonement and she was feeling the spirit like crazy I could feel it, everyone could. Plumb asked her how she felt and read fruits of the spirit with her. And after I invited her to be baptized and without a doubt she said yes! We set a date with her for the 29th of this month so she is super prepared and its been great being able to work with her. She said she knows this church and the Book of Mormon is true! So that was a highlight of the week!!

District leader is pretty fun. My comp and I taught district meeting and we taught about humility. It was a great lesson we used playdough to show you need a soft heart not a harden heart to change. as you have a soft heart (playdough) you are able to change into something beautiful! But if you have a hard heart ( a rock) you can't changed. So it's only as we humble ourselves and use the atonement then we are able to repent and change into someone who our heavenly father knows we can become. So it was a spiritual and fun lesson.

WEEK 53

Hey everyone!!

So this week was a pretty good week!! Big news to hear in conference about the temple in poky!! That's pretty sweet. I wasn't expecting that! That's really cool tho!

All the talks in conference were so great. If you weren't able to hear them you should check them out. I enjoyed Elder Rasband talk on listening to the promptins of the spirit. And also Costa he gave a perfect talk for investigators. We had a investigator at conference too so she loved that talk and you could tell she knew it was true and she is planning on getting baptized soon too so I think that talk was able to help her out.

We also have an another investigator named Ann. I worked with her in December. So we are starting to teach her again which is great, she said she knows the church is true. She has gained a witness that it is true, it helps cuz her sister is a member too. So we are excited to keep helping them!!

So overall it was a great week. Being district leader is good, it's a little different but I like it! I've given baptism interviews and teach district meetings so its pretty good.

Well have a great week! Check out conference talks cuz I know everyone will learn from them! It's pretty amazing to know that its coming straight from our heavenly father as the leaders from the church are giving those talks!
