WEEK 13

VISIT TO TRINIDAD AND PREPARATION 

Hey Mom!! 

It was a real simple week this week, not muched really happened! We are just getting ready for my first baptism on July 9th which is awesome! He is a real stud, his name is Dwain, I think I told you a little about him. He is actually married too!! A lot of these people here don't get married or aren't married so it's  hard to baptize cuz they need to get married first haha but they never want too. Which doesn't make a lot of sense. But with the blog you can put whatev on there cuz sometimes I might not write a weekly email for it so put what u want. I still have 17 people to write back hahah

But this week will be the month 3 down!!! People say it starts going by faster now. So next thing you know I'll be home haha

That's cool you are going to the concert! I'm jealous I hope you have fun! Bring back something;) haha that's  a really cool watch and ring you got Trev! It's pretty fancy! So its a suit mission then? What is Mexico City like? Where did you put all my stuff that was under my bed?!

So I finally used my card for the first time but I forgot my pin... so I just guessed it hahah and I got it right so that was sweet! We went to Port of Spain today. more of the city. I'll be taking my driving test so I'll have my license soon. It'll be weird cuz they drive on the opposite side of the road haha It'll be fun tho. So I sent some scriptures I thought were cool and funny last week so I'll  try doing that more often so you know I'm learning something haha;)

For most people when visiting Port of Spain would be enjoying this

But for Missionaries it's prob more realistic visiting, helping,enjoying this!

 But miss all you guys!!! and I love you all too!!! I hope u have an awesome week! and I can't wait till Tuesday to email you again!

WEEK 12

TRINIDAD

Hey Mom!

      It sounds like you and everyone is doing great! That makes me happy! I couldn't write yesterday cuz there was a holiday so don't worry I'm still alive haha

I'll try writing a little bit about my week but it won't be long cuz I have a list of 20 to write back haha idk Why there's so much.

      On Tuesday we had a district meeting like we usually do, but it was on the spirit and how we feel the spirit and how to help others feel it. It was a really good lesson. I learned a lot, like I am everyday. Being on a mission really expands your mind with knowledge of the gospel so that's pretty good. We had splits with the Assistants to the President so I left my area and learned from him. His name is Elder Naylor he has 2 months left of his mission. I had a talk in Sacrament about Christ-like attributes this last Sunday, it went alright. We had zone meeting today and learned about our heavenly father and the importance of making sure they know who he really is. Cuz there's so many different religious beliefs down here. ALOT of Hindus, the population is half Black and half Indian.

      But thanks for the pics! That's pretty awesome that Jake and Sara had their baby! I like the name too! Tell him congrats!! And I didn't get any pics of the renuion. Too bad I missed it.. haha.

      That's crazy u are already shopping for Trev that went fast!

MOM:    Trev wants to know where his letter is since you didn't email him last week!!

COLT:    I'll write him haha he got a ring? and I didn't  ;)   I wanna see his watch too!! 

               I didn't get a pic. Is it a suit mission?

MOM:    How are your clothes holding up? Doing good still?

COLT:   And my clothes are doing good! 

MOM:    Keep sending pics, I LOVE the selfies!

COLT:   And I figured you might like the selfies.

MOM:    Are you going to be in Trinidad for awhile? Do you know?

COLT:   I'll probs be staying here in Trinidad for awhile I'm guessing, it's a high

              chance.

       I'll try getting a good pic so you can hang up this week! That's crazy Austin is going to Jamaica! I know someone there right now, tell him that haha

I'm so mad the Warriors lost!!! Come on Steph where were ya haha 

      Anyway tell gma thanks for the letters she is sending and the quotes and to keep sending them!! 

      But thanks for all you do Mom! I really appreciate it! Hope Dad had a good Father's Day. I miss and love you and the family! I can't wait till next Moday to hear how everyone is doing!

He couldn't email on Monday because in Trinidad it was Labor Day, this is the second one. First one was in Guyana of Labor Day......trying as a mom to learn patience but not sure how well that is working :) Just glad I was able to hear from him!!!

WEEK 11

Hey Mom!!! and fam!!!!

      I'm not gunna send a weekly letter again, need to catch up on emails haha. But glad everyone is doing great, and hearing how everyone is doing! That storm was pretty sweet! There's been a couple here too! I should take pics of them next time! I can't believe you're already shopping for Trev, soon he will be out here too! That's crazy, I bet these two years will fly by! That sucks he couldn't continue on his bike trip:/  I've been eating fine! Good thing my comp is American cuz he makes a lot of American food which is sweet, and always pb&j , and always eat curry still, and doubles, and I tried chicken feet too... not my favorite haha 

     

      But nice job walking and finding motivation to do that! I'm gunna get a gym membership here so we can go workout in the gym in the mornings haha which will be awesome! 

      

      So what did you end up getting Trev for graduation? Did he go on the heli ride to see Mt. Rushmore? Who won the nba championship? Why don't you answer my questions? haha;) 

      

      You should also save the go pro so we can use it when we can go home too haha and all the videos and pics from it so I can see it. also don't break my phone cuz I liked the iphone 6 and I don't want anything upgraded.. idk why I was thinking that? haha 

      

      I've noticed I have given up a lot to come here... like I had a perfect life and had everything I needed back home .. I miss that haha and just living that life, hopefully this all will be worth it, I think it will be tho

      

      We went to Pricemart this week. It's like the Costco of Trinidad, it was amazing and went to Wendy's and Mcdonald's too. So that's nice. I miss your and Dad's food tho!!! and leftovers and everything, cuz I don't like cooking haha but I'm doing good tho! But also I'm known as the cowboy here so you should send some real cowboy pics of me on horses cuz people think that's reeeeally cool haha

      

      But highlight we finally got an investigator to come out to church! His name is Dwain, he is like the Rock/Mike Tyson mixed haha cuz he has a lisp, but he is a stud tho, He's moving towards baptism on July 9 and he is a great example to his family too! That was a highlight of the week for sure! You can also share my experience to anyone too. So everyone knows so I don't have to repeat myself to people haha

      

      But I miss you guys! Keep up the good work! I miss you guys and I miss the farm work too to be honest! haha But I've notice I don't like change, I like being content haha so that's something I have to overcome.. Anyways I haven't heard from Brit for a while? What's up with that?;) 

      

      But I have some scriptures that I came across:  1) 3 Nephi 13:34 and Mosiah 27:36-37, 28:6-7 they are good ones about don't worry, and the other is missionary work.

      But I can't wait till next Monday! Talk to you soon! and thanks for all you do and thanks for doing that for Brodie!

WEEK 10

Hey Mom!!

      I'm not gunna send an email about the whole week cuz I'm just gunna try writing people as much as I can today! But that's great to hear from everyone. Everything you got me for my mission is great! I would get the same cuz its great. Maybe not as expensive tho cuz Trev has a high chance of getting robbed;) haha But I'm so jealous of him!! That trips looks soooo fun. That's sweet he got to see and do the stuff he has. I wish I could do that haha. That's way smart of him to pull the clutch. pretty pretty clever! I hope they can continue, cuz that would blow! 

      I haven't made food yet haha I just leave that to my comp. But there were some photos that wouldn't let me see them so idk what they were. I'm glad you are talking with Brods!! 

But a little about my week, not much happened just busy busy. We did get kicked out of someones house haha that was interesting haha and we taught a pastor. Boy that was intense. And we taught a gay guy haha it was actually not a bad lesson haha that's the only highlights.

      But I still miss home and you guys and everything like crazy! I always think about home, that may not be the best thing for me to do haha but I do love you guys! And I cant wait till next week.
